CNY week

Well, geez its been a longggg time since i last posted :\
Loads to update.. but where to start?
Oh first off!

!~Happy Chinese New Year~!


So during this festive season of the year~
My bro came back with his fiancé ;) to celebrate it here~!
If i remembered correctly they came back on the 19th?
mehh! didn't do much tho~
Watched a lot of movies that I missed last year!

Like.. uhmmm.. "What's Your Number?"
& uhmm.. "Your Highness"
& uhmm.. "Banraku"

All of which I will review at the end of this post :)

anyway the days before the start of CNY just went clothes shopping~
Bought 2 new Shirts! with Hoodies! XD
Oh! went to spring for shopping on.. saturday?~
I took that opportunity to meet up with my beloved gan mei who was bz working there.
mmhmm~ had a short chat with her~ Plan on meeting up soon again before she goes overseas :(
aiks! after that! went to catch a movie with the family~

Journey 2 The Mysterious Island (2012)


It was uhmm okay~ it was well a teen movie. ahahax~
so nothing much there. and with Dwayne (The Rock) in it~
I just had to compare it with his previous movie. (no not toothfairy)
I mean, uhmm i think the title was Race To Witch Mountain?
yeah, I prefered that movie. lol! "Journey 2 The Mysterious Island" I'll just rate it 7/10
I do however like how they linked all those classic stories together in this movie :)
Especially since I watched most of those classic movie before
(20,000 league under the sea, Treasure Island, Gullivers travels, etc. etc.)
So yeah! it was like a trip to the past. LOL~

uhmm after the movie, went for more shopping and ate Spring food court.
family ate thai food, i had western with a cup of "Honeydew Delight"
lol! I actually wanted the Honeydew milk tea xD but i was kinda short on cash d :X
so anyway! after that, nothing new happened.
Then the following day 30th night before the start of CNY day 1.
Had dinner out at Tarot Salmon Japanese Restaurant at Batik Boutique Hotel


had my favorite Unagi Katsu Don ~ ngehehehe!
Best dinner of the month for me :) ahahax
So yeah! my craving for japanese food was satisfied~


mmhmm!

FIRST DAY OF CNY!
went out to visit the aunts and uncles from my mum's side of the family.
had the traditional BeeHoon? for breakfast, blah blah blah.
Stopped by the other aunts and uncles houses..
had lunch at one of their house..
uhmm yeah~ that was my 1st day of cny :\

2nd day still family visiting..

3rd day~! spent it at home, doing... uhmm nothing. Had lunch at mcD tho :D~
ahahax Anna and the gang came by for visiting too.

4th day of CNY my bro and my future sis-in-law went back to KL in the morning.
Then after tat came home and waiting for Jing to pick me up

& FINALLY!
go visit all our buddehs!
There were umm a over 16 of us that went visiting~
lol! first stop was Eric's house of course~
then we worked our way through the entire matang area,
even visited our High School Moral Teacher.
Then work our way down to my house all the way up to annie's house at 7 3/4 mile.
LOL! yeahhh~
it was a funnnn day for sure!
Also! finally got my Gouf Custom from Jing XD

uhmm hmm, ate a little too much CNY food :S
But i guess what nailed the day down was at the last house.


Took a shot of Whiskey :D and played some Black Jack.
At first everyone had their winnings.. woots?
till we changed dealers -_-
I swear~ Annie's probably one of the scarier Card Dealers i know now.

ahahax~ i think everyone left with a slightly more empty wallet then.. D:
still it was fun~
after that, we all said our goodbyes at around 6, and went out separate ways~

lol! reached home at around 6:30? then got a msg from Jing to go out..
So me, jing n junyong went out for dinner at Tarot Cafe.
Chatted about random stuff.. and just chilled out till about 8.
then went home ~ Definitely an awesome day~


then today! the 5th day, didnt do much... :\
spent the morning sleeping, noon out again~
this time to cyber to play them zombie games~ LOL!


yesh it was a boring day! went to meet up with Soon at the cafe.
chatted then came back home, back to boredom.

ahahax... Nothing much to update on now.
It's just nice to actually do soo much in the past few days.
and now its back to boredom and studies :(
still~ I'm rm200 richer now :D yay!
other than that... nothing much happening..

Firstly I wanna review the movies I watched before pre-cny week.
first movie is.


Trust (2010)



THIS IS AN AWESOME MOVIE!
that I suggest any online junkie, or pretty much anyone who uses a social network should definitely watch.
Its a story on how bad being friends with a stranger can become ;)
a very meaningful story with lots of emotions.
Ending could have been better..
but i guess that'd be the most realistic ending for the movie.
so uhmm yeah....
I rate it 8/10

Arthur (2011)



It starts Russell Brand, as the head of a big and rich company.
and how he was forced into an arranged marriage because he isn't serious enough to take over the family business.. blah blah blah and how he met his perfect girl outside the whole thing.
and yeah! a really cool romantic comedy :) worth watching.
Though it doesnt make the mark other romance movie has reached,
It's still okay~ 6.8/10

Red Riding Hood (2011)



Now! THIS WAS A MOVIE I WANTED TO WATCH WHEN IT RELEASED
but i couldnt find anyone to watch it with me that time..
So now i finally got to watch it! and i gotta say it didn't disappoint :)
Amanda Seyfried is definitely an actress i'mma gonna look out for now.
Cos she was great in the movie~ the storyline was good~
It still could have been a lot better tho~ but the whole idea and concept was good.
I give this an 7.5/10

Your Highness (2011)



This, is the kind of movie i rate as Hardcore comedy, what with all the foul language.
And well dirty bits and lame jokes. uhmm yeah! Again, this isn't a genre I normally watch.
And this is proof of why~ lol! I guess maybe I'm just a little too use to watching comedies like these with more famous actors like Adam Sandler or Jack Black or Russell Brand.
I mean I watched "Get Him To The Greek" 2 weeks before watching this.
So i gotta say, this movie is no where near that and other movies of its kind.
Its funny but doesn't reach the target at all..

What's Your Number? (2011)



This is definitely a good movie to watch. Romantic comedy, with a great storyline.
Sweet and Sexy, funny yet good :) Overall I feel that any newly found couples would love this movie and so will all the girls looking for love. its just that good :)
It has a good plot, script could've been better, romance is good, characters are not bad.
and well yeah! its nice :) and definitely worth watching if you like this kind of movie.

Bunraku (2011)



Alright, this i gotta say I had no idea what it was about.
So I watched it with a blurness at the start.
then i figured it out that it was a gangster movie, Similar to the style of "Gangs Of New York" or "Kung Fu Hustle" .This movie sets a new mark on that list of gangster action movies.
with an all new style, a narrative comic-bookish movie. with lots of colors and interesting plot. It is definitely not bad movie to watch.
It might be lame for some.. It might be good for others. People who liked Sin City might like this movie as well..
Although I didnt like SinCity much, I liked this movie :)
I give it 7/10

Wednesday! So I had class in the afternoon..
woke up, showered, and had lunch while watching an awesome movie. :)

So this post is gonna be more on that movie than anything else.. ehehehe~

"Get Him To The Greek (2010)"

Now, I have to say, I was never a big fan of Russell Brand~ uhmm you know! The comedian! uhmm Katy Perry's husband? well now, ex-husband~ mehh! I just found out they met each other due to this movie. And also this movie made Russell my new fav actor/comedian right after Jim Carey and Adam Sandler of course.. but above Jack Black. ahahaha. and I'll talk more about the movie at the end of this post;

what with all the racism, religionism, drug abuse, violence, adult humor, nudity and even a couple of sex songs. :)

So back to my day, afternoon I went to class. it was TYPOGRAPHY class
and I swear i was half asleep through the entire class..
Didn't learn anything special.
Nothing new happened.
And overall it was just kinda boring... ahahax
makes me glad that the College upgraded their wi-fi
so that we could get a signal on the fifth floor.
but Ohhh~ it only had 2 bars :( slow-ness..
but it was enough for me to get on facebook n chat with friends awhile.. mehh~
after classes chatted with ric, greeted a few familiar faces.. blahh blahh blahhh~
overall it was a really boring school day.
mmhmm~
but then I already got my first homework and its kinda sad. :\ ahahax..
Since i'm already in the CNY mood and not the studying mood~
argh~ oh well.....

So here's the movie review :)

Aiight~ so first off we have Jonah Hill, who plays Aaron Green in the movie. He's a big fan of the rockstar, Aldous Snow (Russell Brand). works in a record label crumbling record label which is in need of some income. So during a board meeting Aaron gave his idea on having an anniversary concert on Aldous Snow to his boss, Sergio (P.Diddy). His idea was quickly shunned, as Aldous was a washed up rockstar due to his last single which had racism towards Africans. But in the end his boss was convinced and agreed to this and Aaron was in charge of bringing Aldous to the anniversary concert at the Greek theater.
And that's where the story really picks up :)

So first off, I didnt know Russell Brand can sing and damn he can sing!

as well as the Australian actress, Rose Byrne who plays Jackie Q, Aldous's ex-girlfriend in the movie. To be honest, I think that Katy Perry got her persona from this character.

uhmm~ This movie had a lot of cameo for people like Katy Perry, Johnny Depp, Mario Lopez, P!nk, Christina Aguilera, etc. etc...

So anyway~ some of the songs in these movie are dirty~
ehehe but still good, in fact they're better than some of the mainstream music we have today. Like I said its like Katy Perry's style.
The movie was a hit in the united states and thus brought forth the band.

Infant Sorrow
they released an album on all the songs used in the movie :)
and it was a big hit, despite the genre. ahaha~
though most of the songs wont make sense unless you actually watch the movie.
Its a very well thought out movie. It pretty much shows a Rockstar's rising back up to superstardom.. and all the crazy stuff in between.
Its really funny and very entertaining.
And Russell Brand is just damn funny xD
So I rate this movie

8.9/10 :)
Its just that good!

If you're open-minded enough to watch movies like this and I'll tell you that this is a fun movie to watch!

Its tuesday!
had morning animation 2 classes ~__~
tiring~~ and a tad bit boring, I mean I didnt do anything in that class at all!
uhmm nothing much happened today,
cept that I got back all my past assignments.

Still out of everything I still love my magazine the most~ ahahahax

SO anyway~ I didnt know what to do with them, so I ended up cleaning my room the entire afternoon, just to find space for these things..
I'll sort them into a compilation later on tho... dont know when~ :X
for now i'll just leave them in my room...
kinda like classic artists who have like loads of artworks in their room which they go crazy just by looking at them O_O

and anyway! after i cleaned my room.
I watched a movie my lappy finish downloaded.

"Letters To God"
And woww~ this movie really like.. made me cry :(
first off, its a Christian film, and it's based on a true story.
If you know about the Community that helps cancer patients called "Letters To God"
This movie shows the reason why they have such a charity group. :)
It's just sooo goood!! ahahax
I also liked the ending song during the credit.

Then, after that...
I basically just went to sleep.. was damn tired.
Woke up for dinner, ate. Gaming with the mates... then I was done..

First day of the new semester today!

Had Design Method & Multimedia Content Development.
Huh... I thought it'd be something crazy hard..
Turns out, I WAS RIGHT. rofl
so, its like what..
Both subjects are more Theory-based than creation-based.
means there's a guideline and laws to follow to do the work to the standard needed.. damn~

Final would be on Interior Design for Design Method.
And 3D content for Multimedia Content Development.
The notes we took today are crazy!
Especially with the new management style
-_- have to do soo many things suddenly.
Stressing this sem? maybe..
But Plus side, I'll be on holiday from this classes until next month.
Lecturer goin on holiday. rofl XD

So.. well its nice seeing everyone again :D
as lame as weird and loud as they can be sometimes.
I can say i mish havin classes.. LOL
coming back to the hectic class is like... uhmmm the storm after the calm.
:) yesh. its the other way around.

Went out to have McD with me coursemates.

and there's gonna be a movie about him this year, called The Raven.
And the role of Edgar will be played by John Cusack :D Cant wait for this movie.

Movie's about an investigation on a series of murders. Of which the murders are all related to Edgar's poems. xD ahahahax where Edgar Allan Poe (John Cusack) teams up with a detective to catch the culprit.

Other than that..... hmm... I've searched n found movies i'd wanna watch this year..
I already have my list of movies to watch :)

New year resolution.. uhmm i dont actually have one..
cept my goal is to be/remain one of the best student in my college course~ rofl! xD
hmmm~ Finish Basic Guitar, then take up Japanese class maybe.
Probably I'll try to find a part-time job to do.
Get a nice haircut that will last me awhile (still dont know what to go with)
Oh oh! maybe make a new best friend :) or at least reconnect with a past best friend.

Then, help out in church? If i ever get over myself :S lol...I'm such a sinner.. aahh~
uhmm~ then after this year, if I finish college by then.

I think I might move over to KL to find work, while part-time learning Japanese (if i havent finish taking it yet) and then take those Jap-language paper.
And then see if there's any chance I can 1. further my studies in Jap or 2. work in Jap.
If neither works out I might aim for either Singapore or the States o_o but then I'm not sure how long i have to be working in KL before either of those choices can be open up to me :(
oh well! that's for another time.


so for this year. I'm just gonna leave everything as simple as it already is. :)

What did i receive from X-mas?

yeah, while everyone was out going for movies, dating, countdowns, events, etc.
I was at home enjoying Animes and good food with my mum.
ahahax.. I dont really do much with her..
I guess, its normal for family to not really spend time together :\
But i do cherish the moments we have, even if just for a little while.

Hmm, Christmas.
Well, lately I only sleep at 4am, and wake at 12..
so My christmas was really meaningless.
and I guess the honest truth is I didn't want to give it meaning.
I know its the birth of Christ, and a day to rejoice.
But I just couldnt move myself to do so.
I chose what I always chose, to shy away and just remain in my own shadow.
I went to church during the evening..
Have a bunch of laughs, and amazing moments.
But my heart, my soul just wasnt completely there.
Oh how sinful I've become. heh..


A smile is definitely easy to fake..


and hiding from the world is definitely easy.
I've been thinking a lot lately...
like how I want to proceed with my life.
Is doing this or that more worth it.
Should I or should I not.
Indecisiveness still cloud my better judgement
Oh how I dislike choosing my own fate.
I guess... that's my own fault. :\
Should I just let go of all these emotions and just grow up.
Accepting the world as it is and start living my life as I should...?

I'm soo well confined and content with my comfort zone.
I've not felt the need to move..
But I know that reality will soon chase up to me, and all these will be gone.
I just want this moment to last..
It may not be the best moments, but it certainly ain't the worse.
These moments with no worries, no troubles, numbed feelings...
One might look at it as a child's lifestyle..
Perhaps it is..
Should I move.. or should I stay until there's nothing left of this place?

Yeah, these have all been haunting me the past few days.
I know what I am, I know who I am, I know my strengths and my weaknesses.
I know what is to become of this place if I were to remain..
I'm back at a crossroad..
A very comfortable crossroad at that..
a crossroad of undefined thoughts, undefined dreams and immature feelings.
Even if I was to take the right direction now,
I can already feel the temptation of returning here would creep at me everyday.
Should I run further into the darkness..?
No, I aint that stupid. I know what dead end awaits me there.
But..
I'm afraid.. ahaha, though I know very well, that no one's gonna hold my hand through this.
Reality... a world I must choose to face alone.
Choices... decisions I never dare to choose again..

I dont even know why I bother battling with myself, knowing my choice.
I wasn't raised a fool. Regrets, pain, doubts... whatever.
I'm gonna redo my life the right way this time.

Bought myself an X-mas gift.. A book;
"Original Sin" off the Personal Demons Series.. Its nice.. Devil falling for a mortal girl whom is protected by a Guardian Angel. Oh yeah! totally my kind of book!


mmhmmm~ Gonna get myself either a Zaku Warrior model or Gouf model, next week..
Most likely its the Zaku Warrior, since i love the original Zaku.

went to a hobbyist convention event the other day with Jing, Feng, Leon, JunYong & Ric the other day... saw lots of cool and unique work of arts.. ahahax xD it was funnn~

Lately I've also been researching the director; Makoto Shinkai.. The creator of "5 Centimeter Per Second" that short and sad animated movie.. Cos' his animation style is just unique.. I found that all his animated movies had those unique style... and most of them are romance movies... Most likely all have a good and pretty sad ending, despite all the different plots... but I like it.. Cos most of the stories are realistic.. :) So I'm gonna be busy downloading his movies for awhile ahahahax :)


I also recently just reactivated my Deviantart account :)
hoping to upload more and more of my works on there in the near future

as for my love life, nothing new is happening. lol!
still Crushing, still aint gonna do anythin' about it :)
Just gonna wait for the feelings to fade.

I only watched 1movie and 1 anime lately..



Time Traveler: The girl who leapt through time This is a veryyy good movie! "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" was a japanese novel, which was created into an Anime, then a movie off the same name... and then this movie, although this movie has a completely different plot than the Anime and 1st Movie, it still had elements of the Novel inside it.. :) I rate it a 8/10 ! its a good romance movie.. that and.. it made me love the actress..

Riisa Naka Oh, in the anime japanese n english dub in, Riisa Naka was the voice of the main character.. As well as a character in the 1st movie as well... So she's like the no.1 choice for directors who makes this novel a movie.. no idea why.. but she is awesome. ahahax.. I was looking for other movies which she stars in. unfortunately, as always Japanese Movies are quite hard to find.


Next is the anime..

Seitokai No Ichizon
Its one of those typical comedy, harem animes.
lol! nothing much really. i was just bored, so I watched something different..
lol.. comedy... ahahax! xD its still nice~
at least it was good enough to make me laugh.. :)

woots! its been a month + since i last posted!
ahahahax i've been busy with all the assignments the past months :D
I really feel great! wheee~ so okaye~ here was wat I did.. uhmm~

Photography Final, I took Black And White (Abandoned Houses) Theme..
and yes, those are actual abandoned houses.. lots of people were like saying how crazy i am to go inside them alone :\ uhmm~ LOL! its not my fault Kuching has soo many abandoned houses that looks good in black n white! tho. alot of them are like locked and cant be entered *disappointed* so i ended up changed my topic to just being black n white. Oh well, here are the photos.

And then for Multimedia Design I did a Editor opening. u know how people who make videoes always have their video intro of their accounts on youtube or company name or just a intro for credits? Youtube one mainly asking for subscribers and what not, yeah I did tat.. will link it here, after I upload it on youtube.


Then... Web Design i finished my website nothing much on that.. And then Interactive Programming, Finished my Taylor Swift flash website. lol nothing much on that either..


Then Electronic Publishing I did a Magazine on J-rock :) ahahahax.

Actually i can still remember that day, since Magazine need like half a day to print, so I had to pass it up in the afternoon. then i no ride home, so I just stick around the class watching the Graphics Design student present their magazine.
Polly (my lect) gave me the priviledge to bully them :X whoops? asking them questions about their work and stuff... LOL one of them juniors was funny, he did an automobile magazine. So we asked him what car would he recommend, then he had to flip his own magazine to tell us..
Honda Civic Hybrid :\ uh huh~ then we asked what does the Hybrid mean, took him a long time to give a wrong answer... cos one of the other student said it meant that it means it doesnt consume as much petrol. ahahax then he was like; "why do you ask these questions? D: " then the lect blamed me ~__~!

D: My lecturer is making seem like a bad guy. T__T hate ue!
so yeah! fun~~ I guess I outdid myself this semester. *proud* wakaka xD 5 subjects! OWNED!

Okayes! So after passing all that up~ I was finally free.

Nice movie, its like really realistic, and sweet and just sad at the end.. It reminded me alot of my ex. ahahax. I kinda liked the movie lots. no wonder lots of people said it was nice.. and I miss high school. but then the holidays are always nice, i mean hanging out with the gang :) ahahax Eric cried after watching this movie! awww! i mean its sad, but it didnt affect me as much.. maybe cos I cant actually feel what the main character feel. :\ mehh!


Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Its not that bad.. I mean it could have been better. Its like.. after the movie i felt.. wat? that was it? then i saw the time, and it has passed 2hours, it felt like only half an hour. so its like.. woww~
LOL! the story could have been deeper.. like how the book is (not that I read the book) lol!
Oh well! Waiting for Part 2... I wanna see the other vampires. Tho no doubt my fav would still be Alice... Oh Renesmee isnt that bad either. I cant imagine she was an CGI ! ((Computer Generated Imagery)) damn awesome. xD


Then watched
Petaling Street Warriors.

LOL! its nice :) Mark lee still damn funny. Namewee's character was funny too. xD ahh! its just a cute movie! especially the final epic battle! Awesome!


then last night, went out with the gang to celebrate Siang Yong's birthday. went to eat at Tarot. :)
Had my favorite drink there, The Lovers.. ahahax DragonFruit + Vanilla. :D
uhmm yeah! just a small gathering.
Afterwards we wanted to go Kbox. the closest one was Popwave II, but the price was like too expensive hell~ rm22 for 9pm - 2am. lol, and some of my friends had to work in the morning. so they couldnt join in. and for hourly charge is like rm8 per hour + need order a rm4 drink. which is like rm20 per person for 2hrs.. so Oh well!
ended up going to the cinema.. Chose a random movie to watch;


White Vengeance (鸿门宴)

It actually aint that bad. Oh hell, its a chinese war film set during/a little after the 3kingdom era. Blah blah blah. strategic warfare, lies n deceit, betrayal and vengeance. mehh you get the picture. :) nothing new, nothing special. just a strategic chinese war film. lol.


Oh yeah! during the break times i had when halfway with my assignments I watched a few downloaded movies too!


Main one is... 5 Centimeters Per Second
Its an anime movie, about how a guy n a girl struggle with a distant relationship, and how they just grew apart as they grew older, altho they still keep each other in mind, there was near to no way of meeting again. :( its really sweet and rather sad..
The title 5 Centimeters Per Second, is the rate of how fast Sakura petals fall.


I also watched a Japanese Movie called; Cyborg She.

Its also very cool and sweet. :) Nothing cooler than a robot girl going back to the past to protect her creator.. :)


also watched a couple of horror movies too..
Ouija Board (Bunshinsaba 분신사바)


Its nice.. its like... wowww~ possessions...
witches? black magic? random deaths of people suiciding? oh yeah! nice horror movie :) If you like asian horror movie this is a must watch. altho it may not be that scary, the story line is very good.


White : The melody of the curse
(which stars the l of the members from Kpop group T-ara)

Its not bad too.. :) Cursed music, kills the members one by one. looking for ways to exorcise the evil spirit, but fail? woo~ epic. but like always its still a Korean horror, so it isnt as well-written as japanese or thailand horror. and aint as scary either. so its just okay~ I mean i guess the main point is that they put in what korean are good at.... dancing. :\ LOL!



Mehh! Thats it for movies..
I've been playing an offline game called Skyrim.
its really neat, and addictive. Its a very free realm game, where u get to do just about anything u wan in a very open world.. You play a character which u create yourself, but will have the dragon-blood in his/her veins, so he/she can kill dragons and absorb their essences to become a dragon-slayer. :) Just check it out yourself if you wanna know more about it..
